New Chemical Production Line – Pre Feasibility Study

Project description

TASYR has bagged a prestigious project to develop new chemical manufacturing for an Indian conglomerate using excess syn-gas as well as synergistic opportunities with readily available propylene. Project includes identifying the chemistry & routes to manufacture; an initial market & supply-demand study; develop PFD and work out project cost; and to finally evaluate the IRR and feasibility. Scope also includes liaison with technology licensors and partners.

Refinery Expansion – Licensor Selection & Review

Project description

Expert review of refinery expansion project for PMC team with the Owner. Project scope includes review of ITB and Bid document, comparison and support to Owner as MS (motor spirit) block expert. MS block includes ISOM (isomerization), CCR (continuous catalytic reformer) and NHT (naphtha hydrotreater) units.

Use & Review of Machine Learning Analytics for Refinery CCR Unit

TASYR provides subject matter expertise for global management consultant in their project to deliver operational excellence and improvement. Specifically, TASYR expertise is being provided for operational data analytics and process behaviour for continuous catalytic reformer (CCR) section in India’s largest refinery on the east coast.

HRRL Petrochemical Complex Project – Basic Design of PP

Project description

HRRL is India’s largest grass-root petrochemical project and includes India’s largest single site 1 (one) million tonne polypropylene (PP) plant for which expert was engaged to complete the basic design of Extrusion section including preparation of Extruder package, Conveying system packages and Silo & Bagging sections as part of the Licensor’s Basic Design Package. Expert also provided key inputs to licensor based on his vast operating experience during design discussions and finalization of silo packages and packaging lines needed, considering that FFS machines are not popular in India. He continued to support and ensure that licensor design data was kept sacrosanct at the subsequent stages through discussions with Owner PMC team, ensuring that the number of bagging lines were not reduced in view of project cost considerations vis-a-vis operating losses later as the plant matured.

Start-up of 3rd Reactor for Polypropylene Producer

Project description

Process and technology expert from TASYR was hired to conduct pre-commissioning activities including critical technology related P&ID and construction review prior to final licensor approval and mechanical completion for the 3rd reactor and production lines for PP.

Through due and detailed diligence our expert identified key short-comings during inspection of polymerization reactor which led to savings in commissioning time by at least two (2) days and immense production loss. Plant was successfully started up within one (1) shift under our supervision and expert support.

Performance Guarantee Run – Novolen Polypropylene Plant

Key member along with Licensor project manager for conducting performance guarantee acceptance test held at PP licensee.

Proactively conducted dialogue on behalf of Licensor to resolve differences in key acceptance figures through technical clarity and explanations.
